Banner Stands : an affordable way to get your message across
What is a banner stand?
A banner stand is a lightweight and easily portable display designed to
show large-format graphics.
They are available in different sizes and with various graphic options. Although they are often pictured as being slightly larger than a person when assembled, they are also available in much larger sizes to allow a greater visual impact.
There are three main styles of banner stand:
Retractable Banner Stands
The retractable banner stand allows the graphic or graphics to be stored in the base of the unit. To set up, you simply pull the graphic up and attach it to a perpendicular pole that is also stored in the base. Those models with removable cassettes offer the option to easily change graphics on site in a matter of seconds. Single and double-sided units are available. Retractable banner stand graphics can be permanently attached or interchangeable depending on the model chosen.
Tension-based Banner Stands
A tensioned banner stand is normally constructed so that the graphics are, as the name suggests, kept taut between a top and bottom frame or an x-frame.
Telescopic Banner Stands
These are adjustable height stands that allow the use of various sizes of graphics at various heights. Graphics are easy to replace and can be rollable or rigid panels in standard or custom cut shapes
Why should I choose a banner stand?
A banner stand is an ideal solution for smaller presentations as it allows a cost-effective visual impact with maximum portability. It can normally be set up within a minute or two and allows the graphics to be used in settings other than trade shows (for external or internal presentations, for example). The use of banner stands can also effect substantial savings on trade show shipping costs due to their light weight and portability.
What are the differences between various models?
As with many items, there is a trade-off between price and performance. Higher-end banner stands will be lighter to carry with the use of more expensive components. The frame or tension may be more precise and powerful to allow a crisp and neat display of graphics without wrinkling. To determine which type is best for you, ask yourself these questions: what banner stand style fits my company image, how often will the graphic need to be changed, do I need to display one graphic or two, what accessories do I need?
