Trade Show Marketing

Every successful business relies on a well-thought out marketing plan that is strategic as well as creative.

It must be a cohesive plan that addresses all advertising aspects from business cards and stationary to e-marketing to print advertising, direct mail, and trade shows. And it must communicate your corporate identity and clearly convey your marketing message every step of the way.

Strategic trade show marketing is based on goals and messages established by your overall company marketing plan. These combined with specific trade show objectives such as a product launch or brand or corporate identity reinforcement are elements that drive your exhibit marketing program.

They determine the makeup of the booth, the message conveyed in your graphics, and pre-show and at-show promotions you might use to entice existing and potential customers into your booth.

Trade shows are a large investment for most exhibitors and the importance of maximizing that investment can not be overstated. While tactical decisions such as choosing your booth space and size along with planning the logistics of exhibiting at a trade show are critical, don’t overlook the importance of your marketing strategy.

Having an exhibit booth on the trade show floor doesn’t guarantee you’ll get noticed – especially if it doesn’t communicate who you are or what you have to offer

And communicating your message poorly is almost as bad – if not worse – than not communicating it at all.

Qualified buyers and decision makers congregate on a trade show for a few days and sometimes just a few hours. This is your opportunity to meet many potential customers face-to-face for a short period of time. You must captivate them.

Make the most of your opportunity by using effective trade show marketing strategies.
